All Together for Our Community Cats
A citizen initiative
Across Québec, citizens, shelters, organizations, and several municipalities are already taking action to help cats living outdoors.
Despite these efforts, feline overpopulation remains a major animal welfare issue and calls for coordinated, structured action at the provincial level.
The All Together for Our Community Cats movement brings together citizens, shelters, and organizations around a shared objective: supporting sustainable solutions that reduce feline overpopulation and improve how this issue is addressed across Québec.
This mobilization takes shape through several complementary actions:

Together, these actions reflect a shared responsibility among citizens, municipalities, and public institutions.
The Team
Committed citizens
This mobilization is led by citizens who have chosen to become actively involved in improving the situation of community cats across Québec.
The first edition of The Great Walk for Our Community Cats was coordinated by a central organizing committee along with five local volunteer committees, each organizing activities simultaneously in five municipalities across Québec.

A Network of Partners
The initiative continues to grow through the engagement of citizens, shelters, and organizations committed to sustainable solutions for community cats across Québec.
Many partners already support this mobilization by sharing information, helping organize local walks, and raising awareness of the proposed solutions.
It’s Me, a Community Cat
I live outdoors.
I did not choose this life.
I was born in an alley, behind a business, in a yard, or near an apartment building.
I hide to survive.
I search for food.
I am wary of humans, because I do not always know which ones are dangerous and which ones want to help me.
Sometimes someone feeds me.
Sometimes a volunteer tries to catch me to treat me or have me spayed or neutered.
I am neither completely wild nor truly domestic.
I live between two worlds.
My life depends on human decisions: decisions that help prevent abandonment, control reproduction, and better manage the presence of cats living outdoors.
I am not invisible.

The Great Walk for Our Community Cats
On April 4, 2026, citizens walked simultaneously in several cities across Québec to bring visibility to the reality of community cats and to call for concrete measures to reduce feline overpopulation. A citizen mobilization across Québec.
